Testing My Home32 Illinois Administrative Code 422, Adopted Rule Section 422.70 states that "Mitigators shall not perform radon measurements before or after the installation of a mitigation system at the same address as the mitigation installation". This means that as a mitigation company, we cannot test your home before, or after, we perform a mitigation. You have a few choices in how you test your home. The first is a do-it-yourself approach and the second is to use a licensed professional tester. We always recommend a professional tester if you going to be involved in a real estate transaction. Do-it-yourselfYou can obtain a test kit from us from our store. Our kits are simple to use and are very accurate. The cost includes the lab fees. You can also try to get a test kit from your local county health department. You could obtain a test kit from any of the local hardware stores. Local TestersFor real estate transactions, we recommend contacting any one of the licensed testers listed below.
